Glen Breton Rare Canadian Single Malt Whisky is the only single malt whisky produced in Canada. As whisky cannot be called ‘Scotch’ unless it is produced in Scotland, Canadian Single Malt Whisky is the designation for this Canadian offering. Glen Breton Rare is produced using traditional copper pot stills and only three ingredients: Barley, Yeast and Water.
COLOR: Golden-yellow color highlighted with hints of amber and orange.
AROMA: Mediumbodied, but pleasantly fiery, butterscotch, heather, honey and ground ginger with elongated, wood-infused undertones.
PALATE: Light to medium-bodied, creamy, good flow of toasty wood, almond, caramel, and just a subtle suggestion of charcoal and earthy peat.
FINISH: Lingers, ending with a quick bite of light, raw wood. Adding a thimble full of spring water balances the initial hit of alcohol and softens the nose by bringing forward the fresh, fruit essence of orange, citrus and sweet grain.
