Originally named Pirassununga 1921 to commemorate the year and place of its origin.

Cachaça 21 is one of the oldest brands and most traditional cachaças on the Brazilian market. This classic cachaça is distilled from fermented juice of regional sugar cane which flourishes in this area of Brazil due its excellent adaptation to the soil. Cachaça 21 rests in wooden vats for months in the Pirassununga Spirits Company warehouse until reaches the perfect taste and aroma required by the cachaça experts at Pirassunga. In the dawn of this millennium, IBP (Indústria de Bebidas Pirassununga) modernized their facilities. An Environment Control Program was instituted. State-of-the-art equipment was installed for its cachaça production and bottling including a new quality control laboratory to ensure that every bottle of Cachaça 21 is pure and flavorful, consistent with the high standards of the Pirassunga brand.
