Senior Curacao of Curacao

Senior and Co. makes this island treasure with indigenous Valencia orange peels.

The genuine Curacao of Curacao liqueur was first distilled in a copper still at Curacao around 1886 from a recipe developed by the Senior family. More than 115 years later, this same copper still continues to be used by the Senior company at their distillery, now located in the meticulously restored Landhuis Chobolobo (Chobolobo Country Mansion).
Curacao of Curacao Liqueur contains 31 percent alcohol by volume, and is made from Valencia lineage oranges, brought from Spain in 1499. However, the trees did not adapt well to Curacao's soil and climate and instead of producing a delicious, sweet orange, what ripened was a bitter fruit that even island goats wouldn't eat.
Decades later, it was discovered that the sun-dried bitter orange has a luxurious aroma. By this time the fruit was called "Laraha" (Citrus Aurantium Currassuviensisor Golden Orange of Curacao). The prominent Senior family started experimenting with oils from the Laraha. Combining them with exotic spices, the exquisite Curacao of Curacao Liqueur was born.

Our different types of liqueur ( Orange Triple Sec, Blue Triple Sec, Clear Triple Sec, Coffee, Chocolate and Rum Raisin) are Kosher certified by Star-K, Baltimore USA, Gluten-free and GMO-free.
